Jane Pestell-Litten

Coming from a previous occupation in international commercial Architectural Design, Jane now embraces a career as a trans-Tasman painter based out of Queenstown in New Zealand.

Jane is a contemporary, predominantly figurative and portrait, artist working largely in oils in the realist manner.

Whilst her practice is built largely on commissioned work, both nationally and internationally, she continues to exhibit regularly throughout Australia and New Zealand, most recently in Perth in a Black Swan (Lester) Prize retrospective.

Jane felt privileged to be invited to exhibit in Tokyo at the 23rd Japan International Artists Exchange Exhibition and is looking forward to exhibiting in the Qingdao International Master Artists Invitational Exhibition, China, later this year.

Whilst counting amongst her patrons politicians, actors and people of letters, Jane enjoys the opportunity of personal connection that every portrait sitting provides, no matter who the sitter, relishing the opportunity to bring something other than a sitters appearance into every work.
