Formed in 2012, WA Portrait Artists is an association of artists who include portraiture within their practice.

Each year we host a free group exhibition to promote the members' work and showcase the diversity of interpretation that makes up the genre.​

​

During the exhibition, we hold workshops, demonstrations and artist talks for members of our community to engage in.

​

Membership in the group requires that the artist lives in Western Australia and has been a finalist in a major portraiture award such as the Black Swan Portrait Prize, Lester prize, Doug Moran National Portrait Prize or The Archibald and supports the activities of the group.
