Camilla Loveridge

Art has always been a vital part of Camilla’s life experience, and drawing her love. She currently draws and paints with oils, charcoal, graphite and wax in a process-driven praxis, and is inspired by engagement with materials, processes and aesthetics in the works of artists such a Kiki Smith, Allan Mitelman, Esther Klas and Susan Morris. Camilla has a BAFA, an MCA, and is currently preparing her candidacy for PhD in Visual Arts. She has exhibited in significant art prizes in Perth and regional WA, as well as interstate and overseas.

Camilla has received awards for her work, and is represented in public and private collections within Australia. She was curator of the Mandorla Art Prize (2009-2012), and worked for the “Art for Change” organization in New Delhi (2016) as an international artist in residence. Currently Camilla is an arts worker at DADAA Fremantle, mentoring adults who live with disability.
