Caroline Marinovich
Caroline feels as if she has been an artist all her life and she still owns drawings done of her family while she was growing up. She gained her BA (Fine Art) Honours degree at the University of the Witwatersrand, where she obtained firsts for Painting and Design.
Over the years she has developed her skills under the guidance of many successful artists, including a spell at an art school in France, studying under an artist from Paris.
She loves the busy West Australian art world, exhibiting extensively at many local group exhibitions and is presently involved in teaching five different adult art classes a week. She enjoys helping her students develop their own personal styles in art.
She has won a number of art awards including the Mosman Park Art Award in 2007 and the $5000 Kondinin Acquisitive Art Award in 2014. She achieved five awards in 2014 and again in 2015. Exhibiting in the Black Swan Portrait Prize in 2008 and co-running the plein air workshops for the Gallery of West Australia in 2010 (Mc Cubbin exhibition) are two of her favourite achievements.
In 2014 she judge the WA Pastel Society Art Awards and demonstrated for them in 2015. In 2017 she judged the Chittering Art Society Awards. She enjoys accepting commissions.
