Jasmin Lawford

Jasmin Lawford is a hyper-realism portrait artist based in  Perth, Western Australia.

Her primarily medium is oil-based pencil, though she also dabbles in digital design, oil painting and emu egg carving.

Jasmin holds a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts ( UWA) and was a finalist for the Lester Prize for Portraiture in 2022.
Her visual interests lie primarily with the Italian Renaissance whilst also exploring the psychology of artists across all periods.

Jasmin’s work is her way of understanding the world around her by capturing minute and often disregarded features of everyday human beings. She aims to celebrate the process of ageing, seeing in it achievement, persistence and wisdom and the everyday contributions of people trying to make a positive mark on the world.
