Caroline Marinovich
While working in the film industry she edited numerous films for television. As a continuity girl, she learned to observe peoples actions intently.
Today in Perth, Australia, she teaches drawing, watercolours, pastels, acrylics and oils to five different adult classes a week. Caroline loves developing and nurturing the diverse styles of her students.
In her own art she enjoys experimenting and developing different techniques and styles and incorporating them into her favourite themes of rain, people interacting, and portraiture. The play of light fascinates her.
Caroline exhibits extensively and has won numerous awards for her very personal, vibrant paintings.
She considers some of her best achievements to have been winning the Mosman Park Art Awards in 2007 and being a finalist in the Black Swan Portrait Prize in 2008 and in the Salon des Refuse 5 times. Another highlight was running plein air workshops for the Gallery of West Australian in 2010 to help promote the Gallery’s Mc Cubbin exhibition. She judged the West Australian Pastel society annual competition in 2014 and the Chittering Art Society Art Awards in 2017.
